Area Agency on Aging of Broward County
Plans, develops, coordinates, and evaluates programs; funds services; and is the prime advocate for residents of Broward County, Florida, 60 years of age or older. The AAA also operates the Aging and Disability Resource Center which is your one-stop source of information regarding services in Broward County, Florida, for seniors, persons with disabilities, ages 18 and over, their families, and caregivers.

Food Assistance
SNAP and SUNCAP Programs (Nutritional support)
SNAP provides nutritional support for low-income seniors, people with disabilities living on fixed incomes, and other individuals and families with low incomes. The SUNCAP Program is a special Food Assistance Program for individuals who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
- Apply - Eligible students receive this meal benefit at both breakfast and lunch each school day. Each year an application should be submitted. Your child’s application is only valid for one school year.
WIC (Women, Infants and Children)
A nutrition program that provides healthy foods for you, your infant, and your child, plus helpful nutrition information – all at no cost for those who qualify. WIC also offers breastfeeding support and referrals to health care, immunizations and other community services.
